Many Nigerians are safety conscious but many also would still fall
victim of the following precautions i want to state below...
Avoid travelling at night on a road you are not familiar with
this also has led to many road accidents. when you speed on a road
that you don't know that much or it has been long you travelled
through there, you stand a risk of crashing into big potholes and other
bad road conditions.
Try as much as possible to lock your cars manually... criminals have
developed a technology that unlocks the car when you use the remote
controlled lock to lock it.
When you have to stop in an unknown (or "dodgy") area, ALWAYS keep
your gear engaged in "D" position just in case you need to quickly
drive off.
Always lock your steering wheel when you park your car.
whenever you're driving and there is need to stop, it's advisable to
off the ignition and come down from the car immediately the car is
parked, because it is possible someone may be following you say
kidnappers. The same Case if you're about to enter your car, open the
door start the car immediately and move so that someone doesn't put
gun on your head.
Lastly ensure your fire extinguisher, extra tyre and c-caution are
intact whenever you are travelling.
